Directions and Parking

Please make sure to allow ample time to navigate through campus traffic, purchase a parking permit, and walk from your car to the tour.  Parking on campus fills up quickly, so prepare for a decent walk from your car. Traffic on campus is very congested 10 minutes before the hour and 10 minutes after the hour, especially in the morning and late afternoon.

From Los Angeles on Route 101, take the California Blvd. exit and stay right on the off-ramp.  Make a right onto California Blvd. and continue onto Cal Poly campus (continued below).

From San Francisco on Route 101, take the California Blvd. exit and head straight to the stop sign.  Make a right onto California Blvd. and continue onto Cal Poly campus (continued below).

Once on campus, you will come to a four-way stop at California Blvd. & Campus Way, continue straight on California Blvd. 

There will be a permit dispenser on your right-hand side immediately following the stop sign.  Please purchase a daily parking permit here ($5) and place on the dash of your car (click here for map of all permit dispensers).

Continue down California Blvd. until it comes to a "T" at Highland Drive and make a right. 

Continue down Highland Drive until it comes to a "T" and make a left onto Via Carta.  You will see several parking lots on the left and right, you can park in any one of these.

 

From Monterey via Scenic Route 1, take a left onto Highland Drive and continue onto Cal Poly campus.

Please purchase a daily parking permit for $5 (click here for map of all permit dispensers) and place on the dash of your car.

 

Parking Permit Notes: Pay stations accept ($1) one dollar bills, ($5) five dollar bills, and credit/debit cards. (MC, Visa, AMEX, and Discover). No change given at pay stations.

Parking permits are required Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am through 10:00 pm; and Friday, 7:00 am through 5:00 pm.

All other parking restrictions (red zone, yellow zone, disabled, etc.) apply 24 hours, 7 days a week.
